Ho Chi Minh Complex

vietnam tours

Ho Chi Minh complex includes Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, his house on stilt, presidential palace, Ho Chi Minh museum and one pillar pagoda.

Ho Chi Minh mausoleum is the starting for the whole large complex.

Next to the mausoleum and beautiful Ba Dinh square is the charming Presidential palace. The French architectured palace was built from 1901 to 1906 by the French colonialists, as the head quarter of the General Indochina Governor. Since 1954, it has been used as the Presidential Palace for high-ranking level diplomatic meetings.

After seeing the palace, it takes a few steps to Uncle Ho's House on Stilt. It was built in a simple and nature oriented style like the architecture of the ethnic minority group and is surrounded by a garden full of fruit trees and a peaceful fish pond. The house has two floors. The ground floor is the meeting place with 12 chairs and a table. Upstairs, there are a study room and a bed room. The bed room is very simple with a single wooden bed, a small blanket, a rush mat, a fan made of palm leaves. The simple way of life is your feeling on Visiting his house. Uncle Ho lived here from 1958 until the last days in his life.

Behind the mausoleum and in front of Ho Chi Minh museum is charming One Pillar pagoda built in 1049 under Ly Dynasty.

Note: The complex opens from 8:00 to 10:30 and 14:00 to 16:00 except Monday and Friday( Mausoleum closes in the afternoon)

Testimonials

Dear Ms Helen Pham
We had a wonderful amazing trip and will return as soon as we can afford it again. Thank you so much! I will write a great review on tripadvisor. Really the guides and hotels and tours were awesome. Ms. Nhung was very sweet and refreshingly honest, very likeable. Mr. Tam was fantastic, highly knowledgeable and funny. Probably our best "tour" was the day we spent on motor bikes visiting the tombs near Hue. The bikes allow for a much more intimate view of the countryside. And then - as I wrote - Mr. An was absolutely the best guide ever...Read more
