Opened in 1959, Vietnam army museum has welcomed millions of Vietnamese and foreign tourists on Vietnam holidays.
Visitors can see the extensive displays of army hardware and other artefacts illustrating the history and development of Vietnam Army. Especially, The artefacts are related to Vietnam's two struggles against France and the United States.
In 2002, the name of Vietnam Army museum was changed into Vietnam Military History Museum. The history of Vietnam army from the foundation of the country to 1975 is presented here. The Museum has over 4000 artefacts on display and many objects are kept in store.
Visitors to the museum all have the same feeling: How terrible the wars are to humanbeings. Besides this, The museum is a great school for both Vietnamese and international students on Vietnam tours.
