Beautiful harvest season in Tam Coc
Every year when summer arrives, about two weeks from May to early June, the
rice fields in
Tam Coc put on a splendid new shirt with green and yellow
patchets of ripe rice, prominent in the middle of the limestone mountains,
creating a beautiful natural painting, majestic but also romantic.
Rice in Tam Coc is only grown once a year by farmers in Van Lam village, who
cultivate by the Ngo Dong river and without having to build the bank as the
water level is just half body.
In the harvest season, when the first rays of summer sun shine, Tam Coc glitters
on the dream, the river bends smoothly among the yellow shining of rice fields,
farmers rush to harvest rice in the laughing voices, and small boats full of
golden rice, which is always the endless inspiration of the romantic souls.

And then - as I wrote - Mr. An was absolutely the best guide ever...Read more
